PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
Mr. Deng serves as general legal advisor to several Chinese and multinational corporations, representing clients in complex commercial transaction negotiations and commercial dispute resolution matters. He is skilled at managing the pace of negotiations and developing effective litigation and arbitration strategies, and is committed to safeguarding clients’ legitimate interests in an efficient and direct manner. As a member of the Foreign-related Legal Service and Compliance Committee of the China Security & Protection Industry Association, he is well positioned to assist clients with supply chain and cross-border investment compliance management, as well as with responding to sanctions investigations and preparing sanctions-lifting applications.
Mr. Deng has been selected for the Ministry of Justice (PRC)’s Advanced Training Program for Foreign-related Lawyers, the Fujian Province Foreign-related Lawyers Talent Pool established by the Fujian Provincial Department of Justice, the Advanced Training Program on Frontiers of International Law of the Xiamen Academy of International Law, and the Xiamen Foreign-related Lawyers Talent Pool. As the lead lawyer of the International Legal Affairs Department, Mr. Deng is proficient in cross-border e-commerce, goods trade, investment, equity M&A, asset transactions, establishment of companies or branches abroad, and foreign-related and Taiwan-related civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, enforcement, and bankruptcy.
With English as his primary working language, Mr. Deng maintains close cooperative relationships with many foreign lawyers in jurisdictions such as the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and is able to work with them to provide clients with integrated cross-jurisdictional legal services. As a lawyer at a foreign-related legal service institution, he participated in the 24th China International Fair for Investment & Trade, providing full-process legal services to Chinese and foreign investors seeking to invest in China and connect with global markets.
Mr. Deng was selected for the Fujian Young Lawyers Leading Talent Program established by the Fujian Provincial Lawyers Association, as well as the Xiamen Outstanding Young Lawyers Talent Pool. He was also selected for the public-funded exchange program of the College of Law at National Taipei University. At the Fidelity Research Institute, Mr. Deng delivered a series of public lectures on American contract law, sharing classic case law, key statutory provisions, and judicial practice with in-house legal counsel from multinational corporations and foreign-related legal practitioners. Drawing on his expertise in common law theory and practical experience, Mr. Deng provides professional legal advice on cross-border investment and trade for Chinese and foreign enterprises, and has published numerous foreign-related legal commentaries on various media platforms.
